Walking in Arlington and the Old Schwamb Mill present a Spring historical walking tour, On & Off Park Avenue. The walk will be led by local historian Edward Gordon on Saturday, May 4th, 2019. Pre-registration is required!

We will see Saint Anne’s Chapel; a hidden gem in the Heights, formerly isolated farmsteads from the early 1800s, housing developments of the 1870s, and the homes of famous artists and writers of the early 20th century, including Cyrus Dallin. Parts of the route will be hilly.

We will gather at 8:45am and should be done by 11:30am. The walk will last about 2 1/2 hours, and will be held rain or shine. The tour is not suitable for dogs. Children are welcome if they are sturdy walkers, or will be in carriers or strollers. The group is limited to 30 people.

The cost of the tour is $15 per person; make checks payable to Walking In Arlington. Postal mail your check and registration by April 30th to: Walking In Arlington, 65 Randolph Street, Arlington, MA, 02474. Make sure to include your e-mail address with your registration so we can send you the meeting location for the walk.
